Chamonix has a large variety of cuisine, French, Italian, Swiss, Scandinavian, Japanese and Indian, there is something to satisfy every taste bud and wallet.  Some of our favourites:

Chamonix Centre

Annapurna I & II

Chamonix's Indian restaurant offers in house dining or takeaway. Here you will find all the familar dishes from your local curry house at home. Authentic food in a freindly setting.

They have recently opened Annapurna II, same top cuisine with outside terrace, located just across the road from the orignal.

Panier des 4 Saisons

Long time Chamonix favourite, gastronomic art, high quality cuisine. Book in advance is advised!

Atmosphere

A good choice of dishes with a classic French feel, L’Atmosphere is a popular restaurant on the river l’arve in the heart of Chamonix. 
 

Le Carrousel

A modern twist on some classic gastronomical cuisine, outstanding ambiance. Fantastic for lunch as well.

Cap Horn 

Modern cuisine in a very stylish and relaxed setting. Cap Horn has become one of the favorites located in the heart of Chamonix. 

Le Sérac

Traditonal French & Savoyarde cuisnes with a modern feel. Get warm and cozy inside or sit out on Le Serac's terrace and watch the world go by.

La Fine Bouche

Cosy dining and fresh local ingredients with a local menu, a must for your stay in Chamonix.

Bizes

Fun and funky with a Scandinavian twist, right on the river. The Josper oven food is something special!

 

 

Le Monchu

This is the place to be for a cheese fondue! A warm and friendly atmosphere with local and traditional specialties such as reblochonnade, raclette and cheese fondue. Right in the center of town behind the post office, next to the casino.

L'M brasserie ​and terrace

One of the best located restaurants in Chamonix with a large terrace and spectacular views of the mountains. L'M brasserie  serves typical Savoyard cuisine and specialties: fondue, raclette, tartiflette, cured meats. A perfect place to sit back and soak up the atmosphere.

Le Munchie

Probably the most popular restaurant in the valley, Munchies is a vibrant Asian-fusion food restaurant serving excellent fresh quality food with a fun atmosphere.

Poco Loco / La Maison des Burgers / Elevation / La Fabrica

Some of the best places to go for a relaxed afternoon of sitting in the sun, or just for grabbing a quick sandwich.  Poco Loco is famous for their huge burgers and large portion of chips, La Maison des Burgers is open till the early hours of the morning offering fantastic sandwiches and can be a saviour for those late night munchies.  Elevation is an excellent spot to grab a large coffee with breakfast in the sun or perhaps a beer with nachos after a hard day of exercise.  La Fabrica, situated right in the centre of town is a great place to sit and watch the world go by as you munch on a healthy sandwich and sip on a fruit filled smoothie.

Moö bar cuisine

Awesome atmosphere and friendly prices. For lunch Moo serves three 'plats du jour' (veggie, meat, fish) that change daily alongside a set menu with nearly all ingredients sourced from the local town markets. At night they focus on homemade gourmet burgers on house made buns. 

Casa Valerio

There are many Italian Pizza restaurants in town but the pick of the bunch would have to be Casa Valerio.  The best Italian pizza cooked in a wood fire oven.  They will also let you design your own pizza.  Take away available but you have to collect.

Around Chamonix

La Maison Carrier

A High Mountain Holidays favourite, classing Savoyarde with a real class twist. The chef is the ex sous-chef from the Albert 1er and offers up some lovely dishes. It was worth a visit just for the dessert Christmas tree - when you see it you will understand!  

Albert 1er

Undoubtedly one of the finest hotels in the Chamonix valley and is home to the Albert Premier restaurant, recipient of a Michelin star.You can choose from the à la carte menu, or from one of the set menus, designed around seasonal or traditional ingredients.  You may expect it to be a formal traditional dining experience, however it is actually very welcoming. The staff are charming, the service impeccable, and the surroundings tranquil.

MBC

The Micro Brasserie de Chamonix has become, in a very short time, a Chamonix institution. Offering beer brewed on the premises and high quality pub grub and lively apres ski and late night live music. A must visit when in Chamonix.  

Satsuki

Serving a variety of Japanese dishes in a simply designed dining area. Sake and ice-cold Japanese beer are available here to complement the excellent sushi, sashimi and noodle dishes.  If you want more of a traditional Japanese eating experience, there is a room down stairs for special occasions and bigger groups where you have to take your shoes off and sit on the floor. 

Bighorn Bistro & Bakery

An American style bistro serving up American-style breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.

Les Praz/Les Bois

Le Castel

A newcomer to Chamonix. Le Castel is an Italian themed restaurant with a lovely bar serving pizza, pasta and tapas. Nice place for apres ski or dancing until the wee hours. Boasts of a large terrace perfect for enjoying the view.  

La Cabane des Praz

Combining a traditonal wooden lodge with modern interior design, offering excellent contemporary French cuisine in relaxed and welcoming surroundings. 

Les Lanchers Bistro & Bar

Located at the Hotel Les Lanchers serving Savoyard classics, traditonal French cuisine and more contemporary dishes. Their lunch options include snacks and soups, quiches or burgers.

La Crémerie Du Moulin 

Great family restaurant La Crémerie Du Moulin offers savoyard menu and pizza at great prices. Fantastic atmosphere, generous plates, one of our favourites for lunch or dinner.

Argentiere

Le Bistro du Dahu

Le Bistro du Dahu combines tasty French cuisine with market-fresh and local produce.

The Office Bar

The Office has been welcoming visitors for 20 years. Great service and a friendly atmosphere. Pop in for drinks or sit down for a tasty burger or pizza. 

La Stone Bar

Great pizza and pasta restaurant, Le Stone Bar has a bustling atmosphere. Just the place to relax with some hearty food after a day on the mountain.

Le Grenier

A small modern French restaurant, Le Grenier serves chefs' menus and menus du jour. Reasonably priced, this eatery is always busy for a good reason.

Les Bossons

La Crémerie des Aiguilles

A lovely little locals restaurant, quality food at great prices. Fantastic lunch menu.

Traditional French cuisine with a modern feel. Get warm and cozy inside or sit out on the terrace and watch the world go by.  

Takeaway/ Home delivery
