Powder Skiing - Winter in Chamonix

Ski school

Chamonix attracts an international clientele and consequently the ski schools have a strong international flavour. With instructors from all 4 corners of the globe you should be able to find an instructor to help you move to the next level.

There is an excellent choice of ski schools in Chamonix offering both group and private lessons for adults and children. We work with, and are happy to book lessons with Evolution 2 and ESF for you. Each offer different group size and lesson times, to suit varying client demands.

If you feel that more personal attention is needed or want to make your own group with friends then a private lesson would be more appropriate.

You can download price details below. We suggest that you contact us to discuss your exact requirement, we are more than happy to recommend and reserve your lessons.

ESF

The traditional French ski school in Chamonix is rather good and they have on hand a large number of instructors so you can almost always get a lesson even if you leave it to the last minute

Plus points

  • Large school with many instructors and lesson times
  • One meeting point in Chamonix centre
  • Due to larger groups lessons are cheaper

Minus points

  • Larger class size (up to 12)

Why have a lesson?

We strongly recommend having some lessons no matter what your level.

Beginners should never be taught by friends as they generally only pick up bad habits and everyone gets frustrated. Have a lesson and everyone has a holiday!

With improvements in equipment over the last few years skiing & boarding have definitely become easier however doing the right things at the right time is important and all intermediates will need some direction to get in to the advanced category.

Techniques change and the advanced/expert can be quickly left behind without some annual guidance. A private lesson can steer you in the right direction and you get to jump lift lines
