Skiing
Chamonix's reputation as the off-piste capital is well founded, but there is much more to Chamonix than its off-piste skiing. With 6 major skiing areas 4 dedicated beginner areas all on the same pass you will be hard pressed not to find the right terrain for your ability.
Ski school
Chamonix attracts an international clientele and consequently the ski schools have a strong international flavour. With instructors from all 4 corners of the globe you should be able to find an instructor to help you move to the next level.
Heli skiing
Now well established the heli-ski service in Courmeyeur offers a variety of drop of points around the 3900 metres mark, giving a vertical drop of over 2000 meters. The start point is from Courmeyeur, just on the other side of the tunnel. You can get 2 trips in before lunch then if your legs are up to it a third descent to finish the day off. Snow shoeing
For skiers and non-skiers alike this sport is a fantastic way to get back to nature and discover the serenity of the alpine environment. Take a tour through snow covered forests or trek via ridge lines to summits offering stunning views. Our alpine guides will accompany you, offering local history, folklore and information on flora and fauna. Join a group from 28€ per day. Take your own guide from 220€ per day.
Non skiers
For non-skiers or if you like to have a day off there is a huge choice of options available to you. With its wide selection of shops, retail therapy is an obvious choice in Chamonix, coupled with the many cafes and restaurants offering everything from Mexican to Chinese you will be hard pressed to run out of things to do.
