Walking in Chamonix

There is more than 350km of marked walking trails in the Chamonix valley, passing through 4 nature reserves, overflowing with beautiful alpine flora and fauna. You will be hard pressed not find something to your liking.

If you are keen to go it alone there is an excellent map specifically designed for walkers, showing each trail in a comprehensive and easy to understand grading system. It is readily available in local shops.

If you would prefer to have somebody guide you around the valley then you can join a group or take a private walking guide. Full day with group from 24€. Hire a private walking guide 150€ full day.
