Every year 3500 athletes take on the North Face Ultra-Trail. A gruelling race starting and finishing in Chamonix around Mont Blanc through France, Italy and Switzerland.

There are 2 variants, the 163km full tour which not only is very long, but also emcompasses 8900m of ascent. The shorter version is an 86km route starting from Courmayeur and following the rest of the long track, this entails 4500m of ascent.
