Before you arrive in Chamonix we can advise and reserve any of the activities for you; once in resort we will of course arrange anything you may need: ski hire, lift pass, a mountain guide to ski the Vallée Blanche or to climb Mt Blanc or just to reserve a table at any of Chamonix’s many excellent restaurants.

Built in the early 1900’s the old Majestic Hotel is a landmark building in Chamonix and a beautiful visual reminder of the “belle époque” era of Chamonix.We are fortunate to have found a wonderful 2 bedroom south facing apartment which has just had a full refurbishment and is on the top floor of this building offering very comfortable accommodation and possible the best views in the valley!The apartment is on the top floor and covers approximately 50 sq m and was completely refurbished in summer 06.From the entrance you will find on your left the bathroom with shower, WC & basin.Straight ahead will take you into the lounge/dining area which has a sofa lounge, arm chairs, dining table plus TV/DVD and access to the balcony. At the northern end, adjacent to the entrance you will find the kitchen which has a cook top, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge plus heaps of cooking utensils.You can enter the main bedroom from the lounge area or via the bathroom. On the right is the kitchen and dining area and on the left is the twin bedroom, straight ahead you will enter the spacious lounge area. The main bedroom runs off the lounge on the left with the bathroom being between the 2 bedrooms and accessible from both. The WC is on the left just after the 1st bedroom so can be accessed without going through a bedroom. Skiing in Chamonix
Often described as having some of the worlds best skiing, the Chamonix valley is a mecca for those wishing to experience the best the European Alps have to offer. Those of you new to skiing will find the groomed pistes and the friendly ski schools at the Planards and Savoy ski areas the perfect introduction to skiing. High Mountain Holidays has a close relationship with both the Chamonix Ski Schools, Evolution 2 & ESF, and will be able to arrange any lessons you wish to partake in. Intermediate skiers will find no shortage of areas to explore with the famous Chamonix Ski Pass encompassing 6 major ski areas, including La Tour, Brevent-Flegere, Grand Montets and Courmeyeur in Italy.
Chamonix Mont Blanc is arguably most famous for its exhilarating seemingly endless amount of world class off-piste skiing. Each ski area covered by the Mont Blanc unlimited ski pass has an extensive amount of off-piste skiing that will challenge even the most accomplished skier. Of course what better climax can there be to a week skiing in Chamonix than completing a run down the world famous Vallee Blanche. Starting at a height of 3842m this 20km off-piste route will take you down 2800m of continuous descent through some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the world. Skiing through the breathtaking ‘Sea of Ice’ is an experience that is both amazing and ore inspiring and will stay with you for the rest of your life.

From the moment you arrive at your accommodation where you will be met by one of our resort staff to the moment it is time to bid farewell and you are dropped back at the airport High Mountain Holidays and its friendly, knowledgeable staff will do everything they can to ensure all your needs are met. ‘Chamonix Unlimited’ or ‘Le Pass’ ski passes will be collected for you personally by one of our in resort representatives. If required we can personally take you to the ski hire shop to pick up any equipment you may need. A list of grocery items can be pre-ordered and will be ready for you on arrival at your accommodation allowing you more time on the slopes! Any activities such as snow shoeing, ski lessons, heli-skiing or one of the many non-skier activities can be arranged by our staff in resort or pre booked before your departure. Because we live in Chamonix all year round our knowledge of the area and what it has to offer you is extremely extensive.
