Better late than never! Chamonix had to put off the early opening of the Grands Montets last weekend, however after the recent snowfall in Chamonix Compagnie du Mont Blanc has recently announced that Grands Montets ski area will open on Saturday 10th of December! It's been dumping in Chamonix since early hours on Tuesday morning and there is even more forecasted for the rest of the week! Winter has finally arrived! Time to dust off the skis / boards and come and play in the lovely white stuff we all love! (More)

Salomon has arrived in Chamonix! There are already shops in Vancouver, Moscow and Toulouse but now there is one in Chamonix Mont-Blanc. The official opening tookplace on Thursday December 1st, in the presence of Kilian Jornet, a skimountaineering & ultra-trail specialist - he is considered by many to be the best ultra trailer in the world. The mountain influence is, of course, ever present inside the store, where wood and stone are punctuated with contemporary furniture making it even more of a pleasure to go shopping! Freeride World Tour "The Best Rider on the Best Mountains in the Ultimate Freeride Competition."
